Job summary

State of Georgia’s Department of Public Health seeks an Operational Readiness Manager to lead state-wide preparedness activities. You will develop procedures, coordinate training, and partner with districts and federal agencies to ensure rapid response capabilities.

The role requires extensive collaboration, incident management experience, and the ability to work outside standard hours during emergencies. Eligible to travel within Georgia as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with managerial or supervisory experience.
• Emergency preparedness or emergency management experience preferred.
• Experience developing SOPs, emergency procedures, and job aids.
• Ability to collaborate with public health districts, EMS, hospitals, and federal partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead statewide PHEP operational-readiness activities and readiness measures.
• Develop and maintain operational procedures, SOPs, and activation criteria.
• Coordinate training programs for EOC personnel and incident managers.
• Coordinate exercises, evaluations, and after-action processes.
• Provide technical assistance to Public Health Districts and partner agencies.
