Job summary

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) seeks a Manager II to lead the Operations Branch of the Vital Records and Statistics Division. You will plan, organize, coordinate, review and approve VRSD work and manage sensitive projects with state and federal stakeholders.

New PLP 2025 provisions apply: a 3% monthly base pay reduction in exchange for five hours of leave credits through June 2027; the posted salary range does not reflect this adjustment.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, coordinates, reviews, and approves the work of the Operations Branch (OB) in the VRSD.
• Oversees personnel, budgets, contracts, and facilities for VRSD.
• Handles highly sensitive projects potentially involving Legislature, other State departments, and the Federal government.
