Job summary

Shelby County Health Department seeks a registered nurse for the Reproductive Health Program. The role provides public health nursing services, assesses reproductive health needs, implements clinical protocols, coordinates care and follow-up, and educates patients to support positive reproductive health outcomes.

This grant-funded position requires an active TN RN license (or license transfer in process) and may require some nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• Two years RN experience and an AD/Diploma or Bachelor's in Nursing.
• Active TN RN license or license transfer in process.
• Proof of education, training, and/or experience required.
• Reproductive health or outpatient clinic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess reproductive health risks using nursing process and standards.
• Perform diagnostic, treatment, and follow-up procedures under medical direction.
• Provide care coordination, counseling, and follow-up to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients and community groups on disease prevention and reproductive health.
• Coordinate referrals with community healthcare providers and resources.
• Participate in quality-improvement activities and staff development.
