Job summary

The Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health and Human Longevity Science at UC San Diego invites applications for occasional openings for temporary non-tenure track lecturers (Unit 18) for Academic years 26/27 and 27/28. Courses span BS and MPH programs, across Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Health Policy, and more, taught in person at UCSD or partner sites.

Appointments may be part-time or full-time, depending on course load and scheduling, with salary based on UC pay scales.

Qualifications

• Appointees must comply with School and University instructions, deadlines, and policies regarding course scheduling.
• Lecturers may be needed for BS undergraduate and graduate courses in listed subject areas at UCSD main campus or partner sites (e.g., Southwestern College).

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-person lectures for BS and MPH courses across listed subjects such as BS PH 40, PH 101, PH 110, PH 120, PH 130, MPH PH 401-406, PH 410-413, PH 415-418, PH 467.
• Prepare and update course materials, assess students, and provide mentorship within the academic-year schedule.
