Job summary

Florida Department of Health in Orange County seeks an Environmental Specialist I to perform inspections and re-inspections of food facilities, educational institutions, pools, and group care facilities to ensure compliance with public health regulations.

The role includes conducting complaint investigations, follow-up actions, and assisting with foodborne and waterborne illness investigations within the Environmental Health program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in natural sciences required.
• Minimum 30 semester hours or 40 quarter hours of natural sciences coursework.
• Valid Florida or other state driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
