Job summary

Leap Orbit is seeking a Consultant – Public Health Informatics to help public-sector health organizations evaluate, modernize, and improve technologies and information infrastructures that support public health programs.

The role blends hands-on informatics with analytical, consulting, and communication skills working with health information exchanges and public health agencies. Remote-friendly, early-to-mid-career position with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, health informatics, biomedical informatics, information systems, computer science, health administration, or related field.
• Hands-on informatics experience with health data, interoperability, or standards.
• Experience evaluating health IT, interoperability, and information capabilities.
• Ability to present analyses to client/leadership teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of public health information systems, workflows, interoperability, and infrastructure.
• Gather and analyze information via documents, interviews, workshops, and demonstrations.
• Engage with public health leaders and stakeholders to understand needs and priorities.
• Identify gaps/risks and contribute to actionable findings and recommendations.
• Evaluate architectures, interoperability approaches, and standards.
