Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County seeks a Public Health Services Manager B-SES to oversee the Epidemiology Program in the Disease Control Division, including lead prevention and healthcare-associated infections. Qualifications

• Two years minimum experience in an Epidemiology Program handling reporting and disease investigation.
• Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in public health or equivalent.
• Knowledge of disease surveillance and outbreak management.

Responsabilités

• Maintain records for communicable disease investigations and respond to alerts as needed.
• Collaborate with infection control teams in hospitals, nursing homes, and other facilities for identification, investigation and control of infectious diseases.
• Prepare surveillance reports, data summaries, and other written documentation for publication, presentation, or dissemination; coordinate with Surveillance Program to create graphs and charts.
• Ensure data entry, analysis, and evaluation for prevention and control of communicable diseases including foodborne and waterborne illnesses.
• Provide supervision and technical assistance to staff in maintaining infection control protocols and responding to HAIs and ICARs.
