Job summary

Multnomah County Health Department seeks a Dental Hygienist to provide direct periodontal care and education in a busy clinic setting. You will uphold infection control standards, perform scaling/root planing, radiographs, sealants, and fluoride, and contribute to patient education.

Emphasis on serving diverse communities. Candidates should have an Oregon RDH license, an acceptable local anesthesia permit, and 1–4 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Registered Dental Hygienist license with Oregon state approval.
• Oregon local anesthesia permit and CPR certification required.
• Associate degree and 1–4 years of related experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical hygiene services: prophylaxis, debridement, scaling and root planing, and charting.
• Administer topical and local anesthetic and radiographs.
• Educate patients on preventive oral health and home care.
• Coordinate with dental team and scheduler; maintain infection control.
