Job summary

Ingham County Health Department is seeking a Program Assistant for a 49-week AmeriCorps term with MALPH as the host site. The role focuses on coordinating training initiatives, partner engagement, and logistics planning to strengthen Michigan's public health workforce.

Hybrid in-person/teleservice arrangement, with an in-person location in Okemos and travel within Michigan. Strong organizational, communication, and planning skills are essential, along with the ability to work cross‑agency

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating projects, training programs, meetings, conferences, or professional development activities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate training plans, schedules, and deliverables for the program.
• Maintain participant information, materials, and records.
• Plan and execute training logistics, including in-person and virtual activities.
• Coordinate with MALPH, MALEHA, NEHA, and local health departments.
