Job summary

Ethos is seeking experienced public health communications specialists to help train their latest language model on professional documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks.

This flexible, remote role offers $90/hour for 5-20 hours per week with ASAP start, focusing on outbreaks messaging, plain-language health guidance, media statements and talking points, campaign materials, stakeholder briefing documents, and surveillance and reach reporting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in public health communications, health journalism, or a public-agency communications role.
• Experience writing risk communications or health guidance for public/clinical audiences.
• Expert-level document, spreadsheet, and slide craftsmanship with strong written communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks across core workflows (outbreak/risk messaging, plain-language health guidance, media statements, talking points, campaign materials, stakeholder briefs, surveillance and reach reporting).
• Contribute to training the language model on professional document, spreadsheet, and slide deck tasks.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure accuracy, clarity, and usability of AI-generated materials.
