Oxfam America is seeking an energetic Intern to support its Public Engagement division. This role collaborates with media relations, content, design, and digital teams to help deliver communications goals and gain practical experience in campaigning, outreach, and advocacy within an international development agency.

Formación

• One-year experience of relevant work or educational experience in communications or a related field.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite.
• Digital and/or social media experience.
• Demonstrated capacity to see jobs to completion; to set priorities among tasks; to engage in problem solving.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accuracy in data.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work.
• Interest in furthering knowledge about Oxfam and global social justice issues; high personal energy and commitment.
• Self-motivated, quick learner, and a team player aligned with Oxfam’s core values.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor and compile news mentions of Oxfam’s work, maintain journalist database and support admin for media team.
• Manage and respond to incoming requests from journalists.
• Provide administrative support, including data entry, volunteer follow up, and event facilitation.
• Research partnerships and influencer collaborations and assist with toolkits and content.
• Create graphics for social media posts using Canva.
• Support task management for Public Engagement in Asana.
• Coordinate content uploads into Inuru with metadata and consent forms; edit photos.
• Train staff to use Inuru as the asset management database; answer questions.
• Other supporting tasks for Public Engagement as needed.
