The County of Yolo is seeking a non-supervisory Waste Reduction Recycling Coordinator to join the Integrated Waste Division of the Department of Community Services. The role focuses on developing and coordinating solid waste reduction, household hazardous waste collection, and recycling programs, plus outreach to the public and partners.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate has experience in solid waste, recycling, or related environmental programs.
• Strong program coordination, analytical, and project management skills.
• Effective communicator capable of interpreting environmental regulations and building stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develops and coordinates County solid waste reduction, household hazardous waste collection, and recycling programs.
• Plans and conducts educational activities and events to promote public awareness and involvement.
• Acts as liaison between other governmental agencies and stakeholders.
• Responsible for County solid waste management activities in waste reduction and recycling programs.
• Performs related duties as required.
