State of Minnesota Board of Public Defense is seeking law clerks to support district or appellate offices, under supervision of Chief Public Defender or Managing Attorney. This role involves engaging in direct client services and supporting attorneys across communities.

Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited law school, with coursework in legal writing, criminal law, or procedures preferred but not required; interest in serving diverse and indigent clients is essential.

Formación

• Must be currently enrolled and attending law school from an accredited law school.
• Coursework in legal writing, criminal law and/or procedures is desired, but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct legal research and draft briefs.
• Assist in trial preparation and courtroom appearances.
• Work under supervision of Chief Public Defender, Managing Attorney, or Assistant Public Defender.
• Serve diverse and indigent clients.
