Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic Room Utility associate to maintain hotel public areas and assist in guest room cleaning. The role is part-time, requires attention to cleanliness, and offers a tipping-eligible environment with benefits and advancement potential.

You will work in a team-focused setting, communicating effectively with guests and staff while upholding high standards of hospitality. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school education; post-high school education preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a housekeeping role.
• This position is tipped eligible; compensation discussed during interview.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all hotel public areas to quality standards.
• Clean bathrooms, dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
• Deliver items to rooms and assist in cleaning guest rooms as needed.
• Retrieve dirty linens and manage linen handling.
• Work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cleans and maintains all hotel public areas, including restrooms, hallways, stairwells, etc. to meet quality standards
• Cleans bathrooms, dusts furniture and pictures, vacuums, sweeps and mops floors
• Empties carts of soiled linen and disposes trash
• Removes spots, insects and debris, polishes fixtures and cleans ashtrays
• Delivers items to rooms upon request and assists in cleaning guest rooms as needed Other duties as assigned
• Retrieves dirty linens from housekeeping
• Separates linens by type and pre-treats stains
• Ensures dirty linens are properly washed and dried
• Folds and stacks clean linen on linen carts
• Work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
• Perform various other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred
• Minimum of 1 year in Housekeeping role

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
