Qualifications

• BA or BS from accredited college or university.
• 10–12 years of relevant experience developing and executing communications and advocacy strategies.
• On‑the‑record media affairs experience and current relationships with industry‑focused journalists.
• Significant experience in communications and/or policy work in Capitol Hill, the Executive Branch, or sector focused public affairs work.
• Ability to translate past experience for broad array of clients across telecom, media, and telecommunications sectors.
• Superior strategic thinking, writing, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert communications and/or advocacy counsel to clients in line with their business priorities.
• Manage overall quality and delivery of work on multiple accounts in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
• Oversee client budgets, business strategy, and be accountable for client account profitability.
• Generate and lead new business development efforts.
• Identify emerging opportunities to add greater value for clients.
• Recognize and apply global/social/economic policy trends to actionable ideas.
• Develop and maintain relationships with trade associations, journalists/media outlets and think tanks to grow business.
• Lead account teams on complex client communications challenges.
• Inspire and motivate staff to excel.
• Evaluate strategies with senior management.
