Job summary

The Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke seeks an associate or assistant professor of public administration with the ability to teach courses in public budgeting and finance at the graduate and undergraduate level in addition to other courses in the discipline.

This position will be responsible for teaching a mix of public administration courses at the graduate level and undergraduate levels and at least one of our general

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in public administration or a closely related field, or ABD with a clear date of completion.
• Ability to teach courses in public budgeting and finance at the graduate and undergraduate levels, including online formats.
• Experience teaching graduate and undergraduate courses; evidence of a research agenda.
• Preference for leadership in M.P.A. program; leadership experience for associate level.

Responsibilities

• Teach a mix of graduate and undergraduate public administration courses, online and on-campus.
• Teach graduate courses online; undergraduate courses on-campus and online with a predictable rotation.
