Job summary

MBE CPAs in Baraboo, WI is seeking a Staff Accountant to support client relationships while providing basic audit, bookkeeping, and tax preparation services. This role allows you to explore multiple facets of public accounting as you find your niche in audit, bookkeeping, and/or tax work.

This includes: Providing full-charge bookkeeping services to multiple clients using QuickBooks, preparing payroll and business records and reports, and preparing corporate and individual tax returns.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting (required).
• 2+ years of experience in public accounting or a CPA firm environment (preferred).
• Ability to work fully onsite at one of our offices (required).
• Willingness to be cross-trained to support tax, audit, and bookkeeping needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-charge bookkeeping services to multiple clients using QuickBooks.
• Prepare payroll, tax, and business records and reports.
• Prepare corporate and individual tax returns.
• Assist with analyzing client financial records to identify potential accounting and auditing issues.
