Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Assistant to support pharmacists under direct supervision and help process prescriptions using pharmacy systems. The role includes cashier responsibilities and coaching staff as appropriate, while delivering a distinctive customer experience.

Engage customers with proactive service, greet and assist shoppers, and participate in pharmacy operations, inventory, and clerical tasks to maintain efficient service standards.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math skills for counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Petition for PTCB certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy and other Pharmacy Department duties.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Assist with coaching pharmacy technicians and cashiers when PTCB certified.
• Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
