Job summary

You will use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions, enter patient data, and help with inventory and cash handling while delivering a high-quality customer experience. The role emphasizes accurate counting and labeling of medications, patient interaction, and support for clinical services and external providers as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willing to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Strong math skills for accurate prescriptions.
• Good computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control preferred.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy under supervision.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems and obtain patient and drug information.
• Enter patient and drug information accurately into pharmacy systems.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring medications; verify accuracy and potential interactions.
• Assist with scheduling and workflow in the pharmacy.
• Support inventory management: ordering, unpacking, stocking pharmaceuticals and tracking shortages or overages.
• Assist with clinical services and coordination with physicians, nurses, and health providers.
