Job summary

Programmers.io in Menlo Park is seeking an Application Engineer to lead Windchill integrations and AI-enabled PLM workflows. You will design and implement APIs to connect Windchill with MDM, ERP, and downstream order systems, enabling automated part creation and ECO processing.

In this hybrid role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy scalable PLM solutions, mentor junior engineers, and drive AI agent capabilities for NPI BOM generation.

Qualifications

Experience with PTC Windchill PLM systems and Windchill APIs.
Ability to design and build PLM integration to ERP/MDM.
Familiarity with AI-enabled workflows for product data management.

Responsibilities

Build integrations between Windchill and Infra SC systems (MDM, Demand Hub, IValua).
Develop AI agents for NPI BOM generation, part creation, and ECO processing.
Supports PLM and MDM workflows and AI skill development.

Position: PTC Windchill Application Engineer - TECHNICAL LEAD L1

Location: Menlo Park & Fairmont, CA (Hybrid, 3 days Onsite / Week)

Hire Type: Full Time

Application Build Engineer needed to build AI-native agentic workflows for PLM and NPI automation — a P2 initiative (O1/KR6) enabling AI agents to automate part creation, BOM generation, and engineering change workflows.

The PLM reboot (PTC Windchill) supports 120K+ parts with growing product complexity; without integration engineering, the new platform cannot connect to MDM, sourcing systems, or downstream order execution.

PTC Windchill APIs, PLM integration development, and AI/agentic skill development.

Scope:

Build integrations between PTC Windchill and Infra SC systems (MDM, Demand Hub, IValua);
develop AI agents for automated NPI BOM generation, part creation, and ECO processing.
Supports O1/KR4 (PLM & MDM) and O1/KR6 (AI skills for PLM). Could be funded by ISCE.
