Job summary

Community Care Center in La Mesa, CA is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support licensed therapists in delivering patient-centered rehabilitation.

You will implement individualized plans, educate patients, document progress, and help high-acuity residents in a collaborative team. We prioritize training, especially for new graduates, and provide a supportive environment for growth.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in State or eligibility for licensure.
• Graduation from an accredited PTA program.
• Clinical experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to documenting care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in developing and executing tailored treatment plans.
• Implement exercises, modalities, and patient education to aid rehabilitation.
• Monitor and document patient progress and communicate findings to the supervising therapist.
• Educate patients and families about exercises and home care strategies.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment and equipment.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to care improvement.
• Stay informed on best practices through ongoing education.
