Job summary

The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Mohawk Valley is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for full-time duties. You will assist residents in rehabilitation to improve mobility and independence, measuring function and helping to develop treatment plans under a licensed PT.

This role involves documenting progress, educating residents on exercises, and maintaining a safe, confidential environment. NYS PTA license is required; experience in long-term care is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current New York State PTA License.
• Experience in long-term care rehabilitation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Measure and record residents' motor function, strength, and mobility.
• Assist physical therapists in developing treatment plans.
• Observe residents and document progress.
• Facilitate residents' exercises and therapies.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and a safe environment.
