Job summary

Select Medical’s SSH-Springfield campus is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support inpatient post-ICU rehab. The role includes assisting with therapy services, transportation, exercises, and functional activities under the PT supervision.

Qualifications

• Valid state PTA license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required by start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the delivery of physical therapy services including transportation, therapeutic exercises and functional activities.
• Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the physical therapist (PT).
• Assist the PT in carrying out therapeutic interventions to meet long-term goals (strengthening, balance, endurance, functional skills, re-entry training).
• Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, or assistive devices.
