Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services that are planned, delegated, and supervised by a qualified Physical Therapist in accordance with the patient’s Plan of Treatment.
• Consult regularly with the Physical Therapist regarding the patient’s plan of treatment, progress status, and any questions or concerns.
• Communicate the patient’s needs and progress to the Physical Therapist of record and assist in securing special adaptive equipment to improve function, incorporating adaptive equipment into the rehabilitation program.
• Maintain and submit patient treatment and billing documentation in the required format and within timelines mandated by the Company, facility, funding source, and local, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted license as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support or cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification, as required by state regulations.
• Preferred: a minimum of one year’s work experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Demonstrated knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury.
