Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Skilled Nursing Unit team on a 13-week contract in Charleston, WV. The role focuses on providing therapy in a SNF setting, with potential acute care coverage in the Joint Connection Unit.

You will document progress in MEDITECH, collaborate with the care team, and ensure a safe therapy environment while supporting rehab goals for patients.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC).
• Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) licensure.
• Experience in skilled nursing and/or acute care settings preferred.

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with a schedule of Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Skilled Nursing Unit team. This position primarily focuses on providing therapy in a Skilled Nursing setting, with the possibility of covering acute care responsibilities in the Joint Connection Unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy interventions as directed by physical therapists.
• Assist patients with rehabilitation exercises and mobility training.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in the MEDITECH charting system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient care and recovery.
• Ensure a safe and effective therapy environment for patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC).
• Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) licensure.
• Experience in skilled nursing and/or acute care settings preferred.
