Job summary

Camellia Gardens Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Henderson, NC is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support rehabilitation in a skilled nursing setting. You will work under a licensed Physical Therapist to help residents improve mobility, strength, and independence.

The PTA carries out treatment plans, assists with exercises, documents sessions, and collaborates with therapists and nursing staff to ensure safe, high-quality care for residents.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current North Carolina PTA licensure or eligibility.
• Ability to follow clinical instructions and work under supervision.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapy interventions as outlined by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with exercises and mobility training to support rehabilitation goals.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition or progress.
• Document therapy sessions in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
• Communicate effectively with therapists, nursing staff, and other care team members.
• Maintain a professional and supportive approach when working with residents and families.
• Support department workflow by participating in daily scheduling and care coordination.
• Follow all applicable Medicare and clinical documentation requirements.
