Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program and a valid, unrestricted license to practice in the state.
• Previous experience in a senior living or long-term care setting is preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans based on supervising Physical Therapist's guidance.
• Provide hands-on techniques, such as massage and stretching.
• Document patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and families on exercises and mobility techniques.
• Assist patients in using assistive devices safely.
• Ensure treatment areas and equipment are clean and safe.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities.
