Job summary

Spinal Recovery and Joint Center in Warren, MI is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to support our outpatient therapy team with hands-on exercises, progress tracking, and careful documentation to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.

This full-time position offers a Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM-6:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM-1:00 PM schedule, competitive salary, and a comprehensive benefits package within a collaborative, patient-centered setting.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or PTA certification with clinical coursework and experience.
• At least 1 year of experience as a physical therapy aide.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Guide and motivate patients through prescribed exercises and activities.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, manual treatments, and modalities as directed.
• Monitor progress and communicate findings to the PT.
• Record treatments and patient progress accurately.
• Assist with transfers, positioning, and use of therapy equipment.
• Instruct patients on devices such as braces and crutches.
• Follow established treatment plans and standards of care.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to support patient recovery.
