Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in Sarasota, FL is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to provide treatment, exercise instruction and patient education under the plan of care in home health settings. Primary responsibilities include following state laws, assisting with active and passive exercises, observing and reporting patient responses, and coordinating care with the health care team.

Weekend rotation is required; full-time and PRN options with a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in physical therapy.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle or access to transportation.
• Ability to work in home settings with diverse patients.
• Weekend rotation availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment and patient education under the supervising PT.
• Instruct active and passive exercises, gait and ADL training.
• Observe and report patient responses; coordinate with care team.
• Follow state laws governing physical therapy services in home care.
