Job summary

Elderwood at North Creek in the Adirondacks is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Rehab Team. You will work one-on-one with residents to support mobility, strength, balance, and independence under the supervision of a Registered Physical Therapist.

Located at 112 Ski Bowl Road in North Creek, NY, the facility offers a scenic lifestyle with easy access to Gore Mountain, hiking, and local amenities.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a physical therapy assistant approved program.
• New York State license to practice.
• Current, valid CPR/BLS credentials.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in planning, developing and carrying out treatment programs.
• Writes observations of residents' behavior and progress in Progress Notes.
• Maintain statistical records and other departmental reports as requested by Physical Therapist.
• Assist with in-service training programs upon request.
• Assist with keeping supplies in good order and daily sanitation of equipment.
• Arrives to work on time, regularly, and as scheduled; responsible for own transportation.
• Uses electronic timekeeping system and protects resident privacy.
