Job summary

AVIR at Angle Avenue in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. This full-time role offers hands-on, patient-centered care and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to improve mobility, function, and independence for residents.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans under a licensed PT, documenting sessions, educating residents and caregivers, and ensuring compliance with state and federal

Qualifications

• Current Texas PTA license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Experience in skilled nursing or subacute rehab preferred.
• New graduates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans based on residents' needs and goals.
• Deliver therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, mobility training, and functional activities.
• Monitor residents' response and report progress to supervising PT.
• Document treatment sessions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Educate residents and caregivers on exercises, mobility, safety, and functional activities.
• Collaborate with PTs, OTs, SLPs, nursing and other team members.
• Participate in care planning and support residents in achieving functional goals.
• Maintain compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations.
