Job summary

Foothills Physical Therapy Group in Knoxville, TN, is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. You will deliver hands-on care, support patient progress, and help individuals live without pain or limitations.

As a PTA, you’ll perform therapeutic exercises, neuromuscular re-education, manual therapy, and functional mobility tasks under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. Our 4 1/2-day work week, 1:1 patient care, and CEU allowance support clinical growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Tennessee.
• Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain before start date.
• Ability to pass required background checks.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide PT treatments per established plan of care.
• Perform therapeutic exercises, neuromuscular re-education, manual therapy, and functional activities.
• Assist patients with mobility, strengthening, balance, and endurance.
• Educate patients on exercises, home programs, and body mechanics.
• Monitor patient responses and report to supervising PT.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain a clean, safe treatment environment.
• Engage with patients, families, and healthcare team.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and education.
