Job summary

Viera Del Mar Health and Rehabilitation Center in Florida is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support residents in a skilled nursing facility. Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current PTA certification or license in Florida.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with elderly residents.
• Ability to work with Physical Therapists, nursing staff, and care teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with mobility training, gait training, transfers, and strengthening exercises.
• Implement individualized therapy treatment plans according to resident needs.
• Monitor resident progress and document outcomes accurately and timely.
• Provide education and support to residents and their families regarding therapy activities and home exercises.
• Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment and proper equipment use.
• Collaborate with nursing and therapy teams to support care plans.
• Encourage resident participation and independence in daily activities.
