Job summary

Fulton Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed PT. You will implement individualized treatment plans to improve residents' strength, mobility, and confidence within an integrated in-house therapy program.

You will screen, document, and contribute to care planning, with supervision duties for rehab technicians and students where applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate PTA program and valid state license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a healthcare setting.
• Effective clinical problem-solving and teamwork essential.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read/write English instructions and records.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Director of Rehabilitation and Physical Therapist.
• Assist in screening and input to initial evaluations as appropriate.
• Implement treatment per the established plan of care.
• Comply with documentation and billing guidelines.
• Maintain patient-centered interactions with the team and staff.
• Provide supervision to rehabilitation technicians during treatment.
• Integrate services into facility and interdisciplinary plans.
• Participate in reviews, conferences, and meetings as directed.
• Maintain relationships with healthcare professionals.
• Refer to other rehab team members when needed.
• Monitor patient conditions and communicate progress to the PT.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and privacy policies.
• Pursue continuing education and development.
• Understand payment models and treatment guidelines.
• Maintain confidential information and act professionally.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
