Job summary

Advance Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic team at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper, GA. You will work with licensed Physical Therapists to deliver care in an acute care hospital setting and expand experience in our outpatient orthopedic clinic on a PRN basis.

You will support patients’ strength, mobility and independence while growing clinically and building meaningful relationships.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited PTA program.
• Current licensure in the state of residence or eligibility.
• Current certifications in First Aid, AED and CPR.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work within a healthcare team.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy treatments to acute care patients under supervision, following established care plans.
• Empower patients through therapeutic exercises, mobility training and functional activities.
• Track patient progress and document accurately for the supervising PT and team.
• Educate patients and families on home programs and safety strategies.
• Maintain compliant, timely documentation and adhere to hospital policies and HIPAA.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care; participate in case conferences and discharge planning.
• Provide outpatient PT services in the clinic on a PRN basis.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment and adhere to clinical protocols.
