Job summary

Avir at White Rock in Dallas, TX is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapy Assistant to join our in-house rehab team serving residents with person-centered care. You will administer prescribed therapies, work under a Physical Therapist, and collaborate with the care team to achieve positive outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold a Texas PTA license and have experience in SNF or long-term care, with familiarity of Net Health EDS becoming an asset.

Qualifications

• Active Texas license as Physical Therapy Assistant is required.
• Experience in SNF/long-term care is preferred.
• Familiarity with Net Health Electronic Documentation System is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide skilled PT services under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Relay information and referrals to the supervising PT as needed.
• Implement and adjust the treatment plan with PT guidance.
• Measure and document motor function, strength, and performance.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust interventions with IDT input.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans.
• Ensure timely and compliant documentation per regulations.
• Attend required Rehab Director meetings.

We are looking for a PTA to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals that service our residents through person-centered care to achieve positive outcomes!

Physical Therapy Assistant Responsibilities

• Administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain, improve or restore function, and promote healing.
• Provides skilled physical therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
• Responds to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to Physical Therapist
• Implements and modifies the patient's physical therapy plan of treatment with PT supervision.
• Measures & records patient's motor function, strength, and muscle performance
• Monitor patient response to treatment intervention and modify treatment approach and directive as clinically appropriate with IDT collaboration.
• Provide clinical support and education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
• Ensure documentation is completed thoroughly and timely and complies with all company and state/federal regulatory requirements.
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.

Physical Therapy Assistant Skills

• SNF/Long term care experience preferred.
• Current knowledge of treatment practices
• Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities.

Physical Therapy Assistant Requirements

• Active/Valid Texas license as Physical Therapy Assistant
• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
