Responsibilities

• Perform trailer switches by hooking and moving a parked trailer from yard to door or door to yard.
• Coordinate trailer movements with management or central control.
• Document trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Handle packages using hand-to-surface methods and load/unload as required.
• Sort packages by scanning labels and charts, based on numbers.
• Follow safety procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
