Job summary

North Dakota Court System is seeking a part-time Veterans Treatment Court Mentor Coordinator to manage the mentor program within a Veterans Treatment Court. The role includes recruitment, training of mentors, and coordination with the VTC team to ensure program success.

The ideal candidate will have strong networking and confidentiality skills, a genuine commitment to veterans’ needs, and the ability to build partnerships with community organizations and courts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and facilitates ongoing recruitment and training of mentors.
• Acts as a liaison between mentors, mentor program and the VTC.
• Develop a strategic plan for the mentor program with the VTC team.
• Attends meetings and trainings as a VTC mentor coordinator.
• Builds relationships with courts, prosecutor, public defender, sheriffs, and veterans services.
• Attends conferences and meetings as VTC mentor coordinator.
• Develops and implements quality assurance program for peer mentors.
• Consults with VTC judge and veteran’s coordinator on efficiency and QA.
• Facilitates community presentations and education.
• Develops community resources and collects program data.
• Performs other duties of a comparable level or type as assigned.
