Job summary

The Town of Brookline is seeking a PT Therapeutic Recreation Program Support Specialist to assist with inclusive and adaptive recreation for children, teens, and adults with varying abilities. The role focuses on supporting community outings and seasonal programs and requires collaboration with the Therapeutic Recreation Division to provide meaningful experiences.

Hours are up to five per week at roughly $17/hour, with flexibility depending on program schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals who have disabilities strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate well with others, verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing programs for individuals with disabilities.
• Support the Therapeutic Recreation division and lead program specialists.
• Help facilitate communication between participants and staff at programs and events.
• Assist in managing participant behavioral concerns when necessary.
• Support community outings and seasonal programming for teens and adults with varying abilities.
