Job summary

Desert Hand and PT is seeking compassionate team members to support patients and staff across our Phoenix clinics. You will assist patients with exercises under the supervision of a licensed therapist, help prepare treatment areas, manage equipment, and handle light administrative duties, while upholding HIPAA and safety standards.

You’ll drive between clinics as needed, contribute to a friendly, learning-focused environment, and participate in a background check process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Good social intelligence helps in patient interaction.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with exercises under the supervision of a licensed therapist.
• Maintain, set up, and clean treatment areas before and after therapy sessions.
• Prepare therapy equipment and assist with modalities per state practice guidelines.
• Escort patients to and from therapy areas, adhering to safety concerns.
• Monitor and report patient responses to the treating therapist during sessions.
• Maintain inventory of therapy supplies and report low stock levels.
• Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, scheduling, and patient check-in and check-out responsibilities.
• Driving between the clinics for coverage and meetings.
• All employees are required to complete a background check.

JOB DETAILS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Kind and compassionate patient and employee service.

Adhere to company policies and procedures, government regulations, safety, and infection control protocols.

Follow strict HIPAA laws.

Assist patients with exercises under the supervision of a licensed therapist.

Maintain, set up, and clean treatment areas before and after therapy sessions.

Prepare therapy equipment and assist with the application of modalities per OT/PT state practice guidelines.

Escort patients to and from therapy areas as needed, adhering to patient safety concerns.

Monitor and report patient responses to the treating therapist during therapy sessions.

Maintain inventory of therapy supplies and report low stock levels.

Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, answering phones, scheduling, and patient check-in and check-out responsibilities.

Additional tasks as assigned by the Manager.

Driving between the clinics for coverage and meetings.

Good communication skills, reliable, eager to learn, and enjoys helping others. We are willing to teach and train those interested in the medical or rehabilitation fields. It's a good place to interact with patients and gain extensive exposure to physical therapy treatment programs. All employees are required to complete a background check.
