Job summary

Grace Management, Inc. is seeking a PT Senior Living Server in the Cave Creek area to provide top‑notch dining service to senior residents. This role is part-time, on-site with weekend availability; no late nights.

The position supports a brand-new Assisted Living and Memory Care community just north of the 101. In this role you will serve meals in the dining room, assist with set-ups, convey menu details to residents, and uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and resident relations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Dependable with consistent attendance and reliability.
• Willingness to work weekends and on-site.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Summary of Duties

The Server works in the dining room, serving meals and performing related tasks for senior residents. The Server must work in a manner that creates a pleasant and efficient dining operation and prepares foods according to dietary standards.

Essential Functions

• Administers or follows written and oral directions.
• Communicates and relates to community residents.
• Assists in set‑ups and dining room service.
• Take orders and serve food in an appropriate fashion.
• Set‑up and deliver trays upon request of chef/cook.
• Bus tables and trays in the dining room and other areas as necessary.
• Pour and cover beverages, assist in preparing, and covering food.
• Assist in proper care and use of kitchen and dining room equipment.
• Clean all work areas as directed.
• Work at a steady pace to meet demands of cooks and residents.
• Work cooperatively with other dining room associates to produce a pleasant and efficient dining room operation.
• Understand and relate the menu to residents.
• Act as a liaison between residents and the food service department.
• Observe infection control procedures related to the food service department.
• Follow residents’ rights policies at all times.
• Follow the facility safety program.
• Maintain a neat, clean appearance and follow the appropriate dress code as directed by chef/cook.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED at a minimum.
• Physical ability to communicate by speaking, seeing, and hearing sufficient to serve the residents.
• Professional and neat appearance and presentation, adherence to dress code, and good personal hygiene.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to work with various levels of people, associates, and residents.
• Free of communicable disease.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to relate to residents and associates in a courteous and diplomatic manner under all circumstances.
• Completion of drug testing and criminal record background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor.
• Physical ability to bend, stand, lift, stoop, sit, walk, stretch, and lift/carry up to 40 pounds.
• Adhere to and carry out all policies and procedures.
