Job summary

Nebraska Corn Processing, LLC is seeking a PT Seasonal Grain Handler in Cambridge, NE to support seasonal corn receiving and pile management. The role focuses on assisting with corn pile pickup and, during harvest, unloading trucks while maintaining a strong safety and quality standard.

Responsibilities include communicating with team members and other personnel, delivering customer service in interactions with internal and external customers, and keeping the work area clean and safe.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or Equivalent; certificate preferred.
• Experience: 1-2 years’ experience preferred.
• Knowledge of plant equipment and safety.
• Ability to operate industrial size equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management.
• Abide by SOPs and safety, quality, environmental, HR policies.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Grain Handler is responsible for the picking up of corn piles and seasonal corn receiving.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with the picking up of corn piles throughout the year.
• Can be assigned to assist in the unloading of trucks at corn piles during harvest.
• Communicates regularly with all necessary personnel.
• Provides a “Customer Service” attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work, production, and achieving quality standards.
• Abides by all safety, health, environmental and food/feed safety policies and procedures.
• Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe workstation/environment at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and Experience:

• Education: High School or Equivalent.certificate is preferred.
• Experience: 1-2 years’ experience preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Frequently required to walk, stand, sit.
• Occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds or more.
• Work Environment could include frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts; airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme heat or cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the production environment can be very loud.
