Job description

About the Brand:

Potter, designer and author Jonathan Adler launched his namesake brand after leaving his day job to pursue his first love: pottery. In 1993, Barneys bought his collection of pots, and five years later, he opened his first store in Soho.

Today, we are a design company with retail locations worldwide, a thriving e-commerce site, a full slate of residential and commercial projects, and a global wholesale business. We strive to create luxe and livable interiors that are seriously designed, but don’t take themselves too seriously.

About the Role

We are committed to finding exceptional talent to represent our boutique in the UES opening September 2026. We are seeking a passionate and customer-focused Sales Associate who enjoys creating meaningful connections, delivering exceptional service, and contributing to a successful store environment.

As a brand ambassador, you will bring the customer experience to life through authentic engagement, product knowledge, and thoughtful selling. You will build relationships with customers by understanding their needs, sharing the brand story, and providing personalized recommendations that create memorable shopping experiences.

In this role, you will support daily sales initiatives, maintain store standards, and collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming, service-driven environment. Depending on business needs, this role may include opening and closing responsibilities, keyholder duties, and supporting daily store operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced retail setting, balances multiple priorities with attention to detail, and brings enthusiasm, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.

As part of the Leap platform, you may also have opportunities to support other brands within our portfolio through new store openings, activations, and market coverage needs.

Hourly Pay Range: $18/hr – $22/hr. Compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, competencies, and qualifications.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop product knowledge to educate customers, share brand stories, and build purchase confidence.
  • Assist customers throughout their shopping journey, from initial engagement through checkout.
Support Store Operations
  • Maintain a customer-ready environment by supporting visual merchandising, replenishment, cleanliness, and overall store presentation.
  • Assist with inventory tasks, shipment processing, and daily operational priorities.
  • Complete opening and closing procedures, keyholder responsibilities, and assigned operational tasks as needed.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and brand standards to ensure a consistent store experience.
Contribute to the Team
  • Collaborate with teammates and leadership to achieve store goals, support daily operations, and create a positive team environment.
  • Remain flexible and adaptable to support changing business needs, including peak selling periods, events, and special initiatives.
  • Bring a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to the success of the team.
