Primary Purpose

Perform duties that ensure the department's appearance, quality, variety, safety, and food safety standards are maintained at a high level. Support Hannaford's strategy, build customer relations, and provide enthusiastic customer service.

Qualifications

• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs. most of the time, occasionally up to 75 lbs.
• Reach shoulder level or above while lifting 30 lbs.
• Stand and walk throughout the shift.
• Meet activity standards for the department.
• Frequent bending, reaching, grasping, and lifting produce items.
• Use hands for feeling objects and tools for opening boxes and cleaning produce.
• Handle substances related to cleaning, packaging, and food products.
• Work in cold temperatures for up to 20 minutes at a time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Assist customers in locating and selecting products.
• Perform stocking, culling, and rotation following guidelines.
• Prepare products according to standards and quality goals.
• Maintain cleanliness as per company policy.
• Adhere to product quality standards and achieve productivity goals.
• Develop product knowledge across the department.

• Assist in training other associates.

Compensation

Salary range: $15.00 - $19.65 per hour.
