Job summary

The GIANT Company in Langhorne, PA is seeking a Pharmacy Associate to fill prescriptions, assist customers, unpack totes, answer calls, and ensure accurate dispensing while maintaining safety and service standards.

You will verify IDs, stock shelves, and perform data entry and dispensing within a fast-paced retail pharmacy setting, adhering to policies and HIPAA requirements.

• Must have and maintain valid specialty licenses, certificates, or permits required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule at the start of the shift, check equipment, and prepare supplies as needed for duties.
• Move totes, open totes, unpack incoming supplies and place items on shelves.
• Clean shelving, check inventory levels, and inspect product expiration dates.
• Help customers and answer telephone calls.
• Verify customer identification for products when required.
• Complete the prescription filling process, including data entry and product dispensing.

The primary purpose of this job is to fill prescriptions, help customers, unpack totes, anwer telephone, and answer questions within specified limits.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promptly, at the start of the shift, the team member will review the work schedule, check the equipment, and fill supplies as needed that would be required to perform the work scheduled, comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, and otherwise prepare for duties.
• Move totes, open totes, unpack incoming supplies and put the items on appropriate shelves.
• Clean various shelving, check inventory levels, and inspect product for expiration dates.
• Help customers and answer telephone calls.
• Must verify identification of customers for products when required.
• Complete the prescription filling process, which includes data entry and product dispensing.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Responsible for understanding company policy and procedures as promulgated in the policy and procedure manual and the employee manual.
• Required to follow all state and federal laws in compliance with pharmacy rules and standards.
• Know MSDS information about all materials used during work.
• Must complete and follow Lockout/Tagout training.
• Must complete and follow Confined Space training.
• Must complete Right-to-Know training.
• Must complete HIPAA for Pharmacy Associates training.
• Must complete all additional pharmacy training requirements.
