Job summary

UPS is seeking a Supervisor to lead safety, production and attendance. This role supervises, trains, develops, and holds workgroups to high standards for accuracy, customer service, and efficiency.

You will foster strong relationships, manage resources, and implement development plans while ensuring compliance with all policies and regulations. This is a permanent position in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent - Preferred
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs (32 kgs)
  • Flexible shift availability, up to 5 days/week
  • Strong oral and written communication
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Management experience - Preferred

  • Implements personal development plans to ensure growth of department personnel.
  • Ensure orientation, training, and regular evaluations for employees.

Job Summary

This position supervises, trains, develops, and holds workgroups responsible for safety, production and attendance. He/She sets and maintains high standards for account productivity, accuracy, customer service, organization, communication, cooperation, and safety. This position provides innovative and effective leadership and cultivates a functional working relationship with all levels of personnel throughout the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with employees, management, and customers.
  • Facilitates training with new and current employees.
  • Responsible to ensure that all employees adhere to safety policies and procedures at all times, operating in full compliance with department, station, corporate and local government requirements.
  • Manages department resources to ensure maximum output, accuracy, and efficiency at all times.
  • Establishes and promotes a positive, team-oriented work environment emphasizing employee involvement, pro-active communication, inter-departmental cooperation, and continual improvement on all levels.
  • Implements employee personal development plans as required to ensure the continuing professional growth of department personnel.
  • Ensures all department employees receive specific and detailed orientation, skills and safety training, appropriate materials and information, regular evaluations, and pro-active coaching to support their continued development.
  • Ensures all employees adhere to safety policies and procedures at all times.

  • Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week

Pay Range

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $26.25/hr to $42.65/hr. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate’s work experience. Hired applicants are offered annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs, subject to applicable eligibility requirements. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
