Job summary

Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital is seeking a Physical/Occupational Therapy Technician to assist PT/OT staff and direct patient care in outpatient or inpatient settings. Under direct supervision, the tech supports mobility, exercises, equipment handling, and basic office tasks while upholding safety and infection-control standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and BLS certification, with healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED or similar accepted).
• Experience in a healthcare setting is highly preferred.
• BLS - Basic Life Support certification (AHA) required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with delegated treatment plan activities: mobility, exercises, and functional activities.
• Transports patients to and from treatment areas and supports equipment inspection/maintenance.
• Prepares work areas and equipment; assists with infection control and supply stocking.
• Documents patient care procedures and contributes to department safety and quality targets.
