Responsibilities
Summary: Team Rehabilitation is seeking patient-focused Physical Therapists. Primary responsibilities are evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients to help them recover from injuries, manage pain, and regain mobility. The ideal candidate is passionate about patient care and aims to regularly exceed industry standards.
- Provide excellent health care for patients with good outcomes and a positive therapy experience
- Evaluate new patients, understand their medical and emotional context, and develop plans of care
- Treat patients and set measurable, functional goals; address questions about injuries, progress and outcomes
- Educate patients on treatment options and home exercises to complement clinic sessions
- Supervise aides when providing modalities for non-Medicare, non-BCBSM patients and in setup/cleanup duties
- Monitor and re-evaluate progress; revise plans of care and reset goals as needed
- Address pain management as a crucial component of care to improve function
- Determine when to discharge patients; teach proper mechanics, ergonomics, and strategies to reduce future incidents
- Write timely and accurate documentation including evaluations, re-evaluations, discharges, and daily progress notes
- Aim for productive work levels; typically 55–60 treatments plus evaluations per week for full-time PT in our outpatient orthopedic population
- Participate in research studies and help develop protocols for common diagnoses
- Provide input on policies, procedures and strategy to ensure high-quality care
- Handle patient feedback and complaints promptly and professionally
- Continuously develop skills by staying updated with the latest research and techniques; attend in-house CEUs and use CEU allowance for seminars and professional development
Qualifications
- Doctorate or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy
- Valid Physical Therapy license
- Commitment to Team’s initiative of making DEI a priority
