Job summary

Weis Markets is looking for a motivated associate to join our team at 16 S. Industrial Park Road. The role emphasizes accurate item selection using a voice-activated headset, safe palletizing, and timely shipment preparation to our retail locations.

You will operate power equipment after training, perform pre-operation inspections, and uphold a safe, clean, and OSHA-compliant work environment across all procedures.

Qualifications

  • Working towards completion of high school diploma or GED is required.

  • Visually inspect product for damage or improper packaging and secure products with shrink wrap for safe delivery to retail locations.
  • Drive powered equipment such as an electric pallet jack to move completed pallets to dock locations.
  • Training and certification through Weis are required to operate power equipment.
  • Complete pre-operation inspection and all related documentation prior to operating equipment and submit to maintenance.
  • Promote a safe, efficient, clean, and compliant work environment in line with OSHA and local laws.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

  • Utilize a voice activated Vol Collect headset system to determine item locations and proper quantities of items to be selected.
  • Place and organize products in totes and on pallets in a stable and efficient manner for shipment.
  • Visually inspect product for damage or improper packaging and secure products with shrink wrap for safe delivery to retail locations.
  • Drive powered industrial equipment such as an electric pallet jack to take completed pallets to designated dock locations.
  • Training and certification thru Weis are required to operate power equipment.
  • Complete pre-operation inspection and all associated documentation prior to operating equipment and submit completed documentation to maintenance.
  • Responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe, efficient, clean, and effective work environment while complying will all federal, state, local, OSHA regulations, and laws.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This associate has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Working towards completion of high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
