Job summary

HRO of Seaside in Zachary, LA is seeking a compassionate PT Mental Health Technician to assist patients and support nursing staff in daily care activities within a residential healthcare setting.

You will perform direct care, participate in treatment planning, provide transportation and escort services, and adhere to infection control and safety policies. A high school diploma is required; 0-1 year of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all departments and patients.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately and timely.
• Knowledge of basic first aid and infection control procedures.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete assignments within guidelines.

As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing routine and assigned tasks, as well as assisting the nursing department in carrying out patient care activities. Responsibilities:

• Perform direct care duties to assist patients in maintaining personal dignity and safety

• Participate as a member of the treatment team in the implementation of the multi-disciplinary treatment plan

• Provide driving/transportation and patient escort services

• Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
